It's a combination of a cruise vacation to Alaska and an inland vacation. These trips range between three and eighteen days, allowing a "cruiser" to experience the attractions of the coasts and the interior of America's last frontier.

An Alaska cruise tour will give you an opportunity to explore the heart of the country including breathtaking sights to Mt. McKinley and the famed Denali National Park. Being a vacation package that combines the exploration of the coastal and land areas of Alaska, an Alaska cruise tour involves traveling by deluxe motor coach or trains, staying at fine mountain lodges and a wonderful wildlife view after cruising the beauty of the country's coastal features. An Alaska cruise tour also lets you participate in various culturally rich activities as well as shore excursions.

ALASKA CRUISE TOUR BASICS

Before finally deciding whether to take an Alaska cruise tour or not, take time to ponder on these major considerations:

1. Plan your Alaska cruise tour carefully by knowing when is the best time to cruise. Knowing when is the best time to cruise the Alaska is first step to enjoy the marvelous trip. Statistics show that the peak season is between mid-May and mid-September since Alaska has short summer months.

May and September are also considered the best time for an Alaska cruise tour because the weather during these seasons are consistently good which is evident in warm spring days with long hours of daylight that highlights the fully-bloomed wildflowers in meadows. Aside from getting the better view of carpeted wildflowers, the wildlife viewing is also excellent especially during May because larger animals migrate.

The month of September is also considered as a prime season to visit Alaska because it will give you a breathtaking view of the fall, which highlights many of Alaska's deciduous trees.

These deciduous trees are major attractions because they showcase an array of changing colors that are equally breathtaking. During this time, tall mountains and ranges also have fresh snow on their peaks while wildlife viewing can be quite an adventure because this is the season when larger animals feed in the lower elevations.

2. Consider the weather and climate. Since Alaska is situated above Canada and close to the North Pole, it should be expected that the weather and climate here are unpredictable but generally cold. Usually, temperatures in Alaska vary depending on the time of year and the port or city you're visiting. If you're on a cruise ship, there is an average daily high temperature that is quite comfortable but it's better if you prepare for cold and warm weathers.

3. Know what to pack for an Alaska cruise tour. Since the weather and climate in Alaska can be quite unpredictable, it is a must that you know what to bring to be able to enjoy the cruise tour fully. Basically, the essentials include clothing, travel documents and identification, sundries, miscellaneous necessities, and photography & electronic equipment.

When it comes to clothing, it is advisable to dress in layers because the climate ranges from cool and rainy to mild and sunny. Jackets and sweatshirts are advisable. Although it's not necessary to bring formal outfits, you can bring semi-formal ones like cocktails and fancy dresses for women and slacks and polo shirts for men if you feel like dressing up.

Bringing expensive jewelries are not encouraged during an Alaska cruise tour because it increases the possibility of having it dissapear. Although most rooms are secured, it is better if you don't take a chance in losing one of your investments.

4. Find a good and reliable cruise agent. Having a reliable cruise agent will ensure your wonderful Alaska cruise tour because you can always ask him/her about major specifications during the trip.

A cruise to Alaska is a spectacular vacation. Find out how to ensure you get the most out of your vacation by visiting the Alaska cruise tour site and make your cruise to Alaska unforgettable.

5 Tips To Save Money On Vacation

Traveling is easier than it use to be, especially with the Internet. You can get all kinds of deals if you shop around a little bit. Here are a few other suggestions that may help you keep the price down.

1)Travel out of season: During peak times of the year prices skyrocket. If you are not restrained by obligations like the kids school and so forth then travel in early spring or late fall. Also, book your flights to leave out on a Wednesday or Thursday verse the weekend, you will save on taxes and fees plus the over all price.

2)Research hotels in the area: One of the easiest and best ways to do this is to go to the Internet and look for reviews on these hotels. This could mean the difference between getting a good deal or a bed full of roaches.

3)Don't limit yourself to the closest airport: By expanding your options as far as where you leave from, you could potentially save a lot of money. Larger airports have more airlines and flights so you get better rates. I have an airport no more than 10 miles but I always make the trip to Atlanta Ga to beautiful Hartsfield International two hours away to save some money.

4)Use the Internet to book your trip: It could literally take you all day to call different travel agents and compare prices. With the Internet you can do it in a fraction of the time, not to mention you can often bundle everything you need under one umbrella , flight, hotel, food tickets to different events, even a rental car. On other piece of advice is to make sure they have a secure payment system and print your confirmation off in case you have any questions.

5)Register for newsletters and deals: A lot of companies offer email updates for different discounts for spur of the moment trips. You never know, one of these deals could be exactly what you are looking for.

With some flexibility and research a great deal is right around the corner.

Kyle Combs is an Independent Certified Travel Professional specializing in teaching others how to travel at half the price. This tropical paradise has been king of the hill when it comes to honeymoon destinations for nine straight years. But this year, the king was dethroned. Instead of finding Hawaii as big kahuna, Italy took the lead.

In previous years, Italy ranked third, but in the 11th annual Modern Bride survey for 2007, it surpassed Hawaii, followed by Tahiti, Costa Rica, Mexico and France. The 11th annual survey was conducted through a network of 6,000 luxury travel agents who ranked their 50 favorite honeymoon spots. The results appear in the magazine's August/September issue. But what doesn't appear is the answer to the question "why?"

According to Hawaii's state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, the trend has been building over time. The number of honeymoon couples traveling to the Aloha State fell to just over 200,000 as of June this year. That's a 1.2% drop from 2006. Hawaii certainly has beauty and a playground with enough adventure and romance to keep couples busy for weeks. But Italy is beginning to be appreciated for many of its unique features.

Venice

For instance, Venice charms young and old alike with magical waterways stretching throughout the entire city. The gentle trickling of water through the canals is romantic on its own. Add to that a dreamy gondola ride and you've set the mood for the entire trip. Truth be known, Venetians travel by gondola because there are no cars, not because of the romance! You also won't find any motorbikes or motorized scooters. Why no cars? Because there are no roads to drive them on!

What you will find in Venice is gorgeous scenery along with palaces, museums and art collections. Open-air food markets are also plentiful and make for wonderful shopping. Or, of course, you can dine at any number of restaurants where you'll delight in truly authentic northern Italian cuisine.

You won't want to leave without participating in Carnival. Remarkably, the term "carnival" comes from the Latin "farewell meat!" Similar to Fat Tuesday in New Orleans, Carnival began the practice of throwing huge parties in order to use up all the meat, eggs and butter before the fasting of Lent started. To make Carnival unique, Venetians wore masks to disguise themselves. This way they could participate in all types of debauchery without being found out. While Carnival today is much more civil, the enormous levels of fun still run high.

Capri

Another unique destination in Italy is Capri. An island (as is Venice), this region has wooed the world for decades. Countless movies have been made on Capri, emperors have visited and honeymooners have strolled along her hillsides. Part of the allure of this island lies in the aromatic fragrances that overtake you as soon as you arrive.

The scent of ripe natively grown lemons in addition to the intense perfume of indigenous basil, marjoram, oregano, parsley and thyme waft through the air with every breeze. It's something almost everyone is pleasantly surprised by.

One of the most popular attractions is The Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) - a must-see. As daylight enters through an underwater opening located immediately below the entrance to the cave, the light is filtered by the water. The red tones are absorbed, leaving only the blue ones to pass into the cave. The result is an astonishing aura of blues that simply defies words.

Whichever you choose as your top honeymoon spot, you'll find plenty to do and see. Cruising to your destination offers the flexibility to see more of the region for less than you might think. Explore online first and then decide which location will offer more of what you and your spouse-to-be will love.

Roy Witman is Vice-President of Cruise Vacation Center at offering the best deals including

European cruises. © 2007, All Rights Reserved

Tips for Families on Luxury Travel Vacations

"The family that plays together stays together," and luxury vacations are the greatest ways to play! Everyone needs a vacation, especially families. Tired parents, cranky kids and spoiling grandparents may not see spending the night in a Motel 6 as the best vacation plans. Families want to go on vacations that will please everyone, and the best way to do that is to find the best travel destinations, accommodations and eateries that are family friendly.

Family Friendly Destinations

The best way to find family friendly destinations is to consider places that have attractions that will entertain travelers of all ages. For example, some of the best family destinations are exotic beach locals. Kids and adults can both enjoy the sun, surf and sand, as well as the other beach activities. Stay away from luxury travel destinations that are purely historical or educational, as kids will get board quick and cause problems. It's not the best idea to take your nine, seven and five year old to Paris for a visit to Versailles and the Louvre. They will not enjoy it, and when the kids are not happy, neither will the adults nor your fellow travelers.

Family Friendly Accommodations

You can stay in luxury on your luxury travel vacation and still find a kid friendly atmosphere. A great example of one of these hotels is the Atlantis in the Bahamas. This hotel has all the luxury desired by adults, and still offers kids programs and a great pool. Places like Atlantis and Beaches in the Caribbean are pretty up front about being kid friendly. The challenge comes when you are looking for luxury and find no hotels that are upfront to being family friendly. One way to discern if families will be welcome at specific hotels is to see how their pool is and if babysitting is offered. Usually, if both of these items are above average, the hotel is accommodating rather than simply putting up with your family.

Family Friendly Eateries

When looking for a place to eat on your luxury travel vacation, there are several elements to take into account. First of all, if there are tablecloths on the table and plates start at $25, toddlers and infants are not welcome. Children are usually accepted at fine dinning restaurants and bistros so long as they have proper manners and table etiquette. But be aware that well-behaved children are nearly always accepted, but badly behaved children are always unwelcome. If your wish to eat somewhere where your children will not be welcomed, consider taking advantage of the hotel's babysitting services. That is exactly why they are there in the first place.

Choosing wisely is important to finding the perfect family luxury travel vacation. Finding the best family friendly destinations is key, as is finding great hotels and accommodations to stay in. Fine dinning is also a highlight of a family vacation that you might want to take advantage of, and choosing the best way to handle your family needs can be the key to satisfying everyone.

Virginia Morgan writes tourism and travel articles for AMT American Express Travel,

The Internet's premier resource for American Express Vacations. The agent will recommend an independent travel experience or suggest the guided excursion variety cruise. Cruising seems to be a favorite among a growing number of vacationers and is perfect for travelers seeking luxury and convenience.

Naturally, the price of your cruising includes housing, but they generally also include all food. Each supplier of cruising is a little different in the options they provide, but rest assured that there are basic options available which are included in the price. Some cruise lines will even include drinks. Your price also includes on board entertainment.

For those interested in long excursions a cruise is ideal and holds many advantages over taking a long land based vacation. If you were to travel somewhere by plane, you have the extra expense and concern of making transportation arrangements upon arrival at your destination. A two week vacation that includes two weeks of car rental expenses will pretty substantially impact the cost of your vacation. Then of course there's the hassle of unpacking and packing.

Cruising simplifies the process by allowing you to visit many ports, without having to hassle with packing and unpacking, or having to arrange transportation. When cruising, you simply go to sleep and awake in a new port. No matter what you desire there is a cruise that fits the bill. There are cruises coming and going all over the world with hundreds of different cruise packages available.

With the growth of the cruise industry over the last 10 years travelers can easily find the perfect cruise for their tastes. There are almost 50 different companies worldwide offering cruises. Each offering a huge array of cruise options, routes and exotic ports of call.

Many travelers have even taken to holiday cruising. That is, experiencing the ultimate vacation during time off around the major holidays. It's widely believed this is because cruising offers some of the greatest vacation values available because the price covers the cost of housing, food and on board entertainment for the entire length of you vacation.

Travel Spain

When is the Best Time to Visit Disney?

Ah, when to visit Disney World . . . Well, coming from a true Disney lover, I think that right now is the right time to visit Disney World! But seriously, planning your vacation starts with picking the dates, so here are some things to keep in mind:

If you can avoid school holidays - do it! The parks are always more crowded when schools are on vacation, so if you can avoid holiday times and the summer months, you will be rewarded with fewer crowds and shorter lines. Of course, the parks close earlier during these 'off-peak' times of year as well, so you'll still need to arrive early if you have lots of attractions on your agenda. If you have children, you may be able to find times that only your immediate area (and not the whole country) is off from school.

If you must visit the parks during school holidays, you may need to be more proactive about planning your days at the parks. Crowds are at their largest during Easter and Christmas weeks, so plan to be at the gates as the parks open to arrive before those late-sleeping visitors even wake up. During summer vacation, my family has had a lot of luck visiting the parks during the last 2 weeks of August, since our schools don't open until after Labor Day, but Florida schools open around August 20.

Be aware if you are planning to visit during the winter months, the weather may be chillier than you expect. If you are from up north, you may assume that Florida is warm year-round, but in actuality, central Florida can go down to around 50 degrees, so be sure to carry sweatshirts or jackets (and those water parks and rides might not seem so appealing). Starting in mid-November, Disney World is all decked out for Christmas, so through the middle of December, this is a beautiful - and very empty - time to visit Disney. The parks empty out again for the month of January, but starting around the middle of February the various winter and spring breaks overlap to keep things hopping though April. Frequent visitors often cite May and October and ideal months to visit, as you get the most beautiful weather combined with the lowest number of visitors. Whenever you decide to go, be sure to make your specialty dining reservations early (up to 180 days in advance), as these fill up all thoughout the year. Enjoy your trip!

Stephanie Larkin is the editor of as well as She and her family love to cruise - her 3 children especially love the towel animals and chocolates left on the beds at night!

American Girls' Place

When it is time for girls to rule, American Girl Place is an excellent choice for a way to spend the day. With locations in both New York City and Chicago, American Girl Place serves as a paradise on earth for many young girls.

American Girl is a collection of dolls, each with her own carefully designed historical background. Each doll's story is told in a series of books that accompanies each doll. The dolls all range in eras from colonial to modern day. The books are aimed at a tween-aged reading level, but that isn't to say both younger and older girls won't enjoy spending a day here. For younger ones, they will enjoy playing with the dolls and doll accessories. As for girls who think they are too old for the store, they can be entertained by the café, different plays, and various displays, even if they no longer play with the dolls.

American Girl Place is a three story mega-store that is much more than just a store, though it does offer three floors full of American Girl merchandise. While its main objective is to entertain and captivate their young audience, the American Girl corporation also does an excellent job of educating their readers. Many girls learn a lot about cultural and historical issues from having an American Girl doll and reading the books. American Girl Place also offers many chances for learning in their store.

The American Girl Revue takes place daily in the store's theater. The musical offers a cast of talented young girls who recreate memorable scenes from each one of the doll's books. They also have original songs and showcase each individual doll's historic era. After the show, visitors can also walk aimlessly around the store's very own art gallery. The gallery is a showcase for all the original illustrations done for each book. Both the learning experience and the enjoyment continue as girls can view large, detailed dioramas depicting aspects from each doll's unique time period.

While touring the complex, many girls, of course, bring their very own American Girl Dolls and the store is careful to not leave these very special guests out. Much of the merchandise available to buy is actually for the dolls. Girls can buy their dolls new outfits as well as new accessories and toys. The combination of a tropical location, sunset on the water and a good meal can set the stage for a memorable experience. However, not all dinner cruises in Hawaii are created equal. Follow these basic guidelines to find the best dinner cruise for your vacation to Hawaii.

1. Get the recommendation of the concierge or activities desk at your hotel. These professionals will be able to tell you what Hawaii dinner cruises are available and which ones are the most enjoyable. Inquire as to the type of boats available, their distance from your hotel, transportation options and (most importantly) the quality and type of food served on each available cruise. More often than not, the concierge and activity desk staff will have personally gone on the dinner cruises that they recommend. Also note that the also often receive a commission for their referrals.

2. Don't go with the cheapest dinner cruise available. Some dinner cruise operators in Hawaii offer incredibly cheap cruises, but you end up getting what you pay for. The super cheap dinner cruise will often be aboard a dirty, rusty tub of a boat with food generally served at institutional cafeterias. If you spend a least a little more, you'll be glad you did.

3. Book your dinner cruise well in advance. By their nature, dinner cruise boats in Hawaii have limited capacities. Once you have decided on the dinner cruise that is right for you, make your reservation right away. If possible, check the local weather forecast to ensure that you will have clear weather on the desired evening of your cruise.

4. If you are traveling with a large group, book a private dinner cruise. Group travel and destination weddings in Hawaii have become more and more common the past few years. If you are planning such an event, it is best to book a private dinner cruise on an appropriately sized boat. This will give you the benefit of having a shared experience for your group away from the maddening crowds of tourists. Research and book private dinner cruises in Hawaii as far in advance as possible. A deposit of one half of the total cost is standard to reserve a private cruise.

5. Take precautions prior to your dinner cruise if you are prone to sea sickness. If you have ever gotten sea sick or experienced any other type of motion sickness, you know it can be a miserable experience. The vast majority of people who go on cruises in Hawaii never have any problem with sea sickness. However, if you are prone to motion related sickness, you should take steps to prevent sea sickness before the dinner cruise starts. Pills and patches are available to help prevent sea sickness, but need to be used well in advance of your cruise. If you feel you are susceptible to motion sickness, check with a medical professional for a recommendation on how to best avoid sea sickness during your cruise.

6. Bring a light jacket with you. Sure, Hawaii is a warm, tropical paradise. But after the sun goes down conditions out on the ocean can be a little chilly. Plan ahead and bring a light jacket.

7. Tip the captain and crew. It is customary to tip the staff at the end of your dinner cruise. As with restaurant dining, you should tip fifteen percent of your dinner cruise total if the service was reasonably good. Of course, if the service was truly outstanding you can tip even more.

A Hawaii dinner cruise can be the highlight of your vacation to the Islands of Aloha. Just remember to plan ahead, don't go too cheap and have a wonderful time in paradise.

Eric Petersen is the owner of Hawaii Yacht Charter which is based in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. Diving in Polynesia can be quite thrilling and tiring. If you haven't been diving for a long time, start with an easy dive. Check your equipment (pressure gauge, computer, BCD, wetsuit, etc) before packing"¦this will avoid bad surprises once on the boat. Don't forget your diving diplomas, cards and log books.

DIVING REGULATIONS IN FRENCH POLYNESIA

Maximum depths are limited to: 1. 29 meters (95 feet) for level I CMAS, Open Water and Advanced Open Water Divers. 2. 49 meters (160 feet) for level II CMAS, Rescue Divers. 3. 60 meters (196 feet) for higher degrees. Be aware that the electric power might not be compatible with your own equipment (flash, battery charger?) Don't forget to protect them from all external factors like sun, wind, sand, salt or water. After a dive, and before you go on a plane, please ensure that you wait 12 to 14 hours. In general terms, it is recommend not diving the last day of your stay. Take this time to visit or try one of the many other activities offered on the islands.

SHOPPING

There are no specialized shops on the islands (even though some shops do carry a very limited stock of diving equipment). The only shop in Tahiti, specialized in diving, sailing and most aquatic activities is: Nauti Sport.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Of course, wherever you travel, it is highly recommended that you take out travel insurance before embarking on any vacation. Realize that resorts like this will expect to be paid no matter what. However, with travel insurance, you can recoup some or all of your costs if travel and vacation plans change. There are so many things to see and experience, so many different cultures and so many things to learn. It is also important to consider the inherent dangers as well. Being aware of these can make you trip safer and more pleasurable.

1)The first suggestion I can offer when going to another country is to consider travel insurance. Travel insurance is good for several reasons, it protects you from flight cancellations, lost luggage and also any unexpected medical cost that could arise.

2)Another thought is to copy all of your documents like passports, Id's, boarding passes, credit cards, travel vouchers, and medical prescriptions. This is just in case the event arises that anything is stolen or goes missing you can still prove who you are which is a huge potential burden off of your shoulders.

3)When it comes time for you to begin your journey, it's best to arrive early. This way you can check in your bags and have time to get through all of the added security. Have passports, boarding passes and anything else you need to get through security readily available this way you don't have to fumble through your bag every time you're asked.

4)When you arrive in a foreign country awareness is the key. To keep your property safe, keep it close at all times. Try to take things with you that you are bit going to need. Also make sure to avoid scams that locals like to play on travelers. Finally, stay in public places, avoid wondering off down the dark alley ways in the middle of the night.

5)Lastly it's a good idea to know the currency exchange rate. A good website to check is Go to a bank preferably because they offer the most current rate. Finally you may want to consider travelers checks, you can purchase them from your local back.

The key point is, when you travel internationally you want your trip to go as safe and hassle free as possible. Do a little research, make preparations and don't forget to take some great pictures.

For more information visit or Kyle Combs is an Independent Certified Travel Professional specialising in teaching others how to travel at half price. While some more experienced travelers may roll their eyes, there is one big secret for travelers who are looking for a five star experience on a three star budget. It is called river cruising.

These river cruises have all the benefits that large cruise ships have. River cruising ships and itineraries are specifically set up to meet the highest standards of luxury, comfort, and convenience, similar to that of a luxury world cruise. You only unpack your bags once, dining is included in the price, and you can visit several different locations. Unlike big sea cruise vessels, river cruise boats are much smaller, with a maximum passenger number of about 150. There are no large crowds onboard during dining times and at on board activities. You will come to know your fellow travelers very well, and are likely to form bonds to last a lifetime. Thanks to the small and intimate number of travelers, the attention paid to each traveler on a river cruise ship is truly the height of luxury.

With river cruises, you get more included in your fare than large sea cruises, making it a luxury travel vacation full of added value. River cruises usually include a half-day land excursion for each day of the cruise. Many river cruise boats do not have interior cabins, meaning you will have more views of the countryside. While most sea cruise ships are forced to only experience the charm of port cities, river cruises give travelers access to inland areas of countries. A lot of your sight seeing can be done from your boat. Imagine sailing along some of the most famous rivers and waterways of the world, rather than the country's infamously congested highways. River cruises often stop to experience sights that are more quaint, such as intimate villages, towns and vineyards, which would most likely be missed or overrun by a sea cruise ship.

River cruises start at about $1,300 per person. That amount may seem like a lot when big sea cruise ships are offering interior cabins at about $500 per person; but on a river cruise, you are staying in a cabin with a guaranteed ocean view. On big ships, excursions are almost always an extra price, whereas on river cruises, they are included. With river cruises, all the food is gourmet, and is included. River ships are smaller, more intimate and are built to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. If you want to take a luxury travel vacation and want the most bang for your buck, consider the values in a luxury river cruise.

Virginia Morgan is a tourism and travel writer for AMT American Express Travel . The fun begins as soon as you board your "DUCK", an authentic, renovated World War II amphibious landing vehicle. First, you'll be greeted by one of the legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who'll be narrating your tour. Then you're off for a ride like you've never had before.

You'll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom

and a city of firsts, from the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and

the TD Bank north Garden, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the

Prudential Tower, and more. And, as the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you lots of little known facts and interesting insights about the unique and wonderful city.

And just when you think you've seen it all, there's more. It's time to take

cover as your ConDUCKtor splashes your DUCK right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and the Cambridge skylines, the kind of view you just can't get anywhere else. That's right, your ride on wheels turns

into a floating boat right before your eyes. You go from the land to the water in seconds, just drive right in.

Boston Duck Tours operates a fleet of restored World War II era DUKWs. These amphibious vehicles played an important role in both the European and Pacific theaters of the war. Now, Boston's Museum of Science and Boston Duck Tours have teamed up to present the history of these remarkable vehicles. A special exhibit will include a history of the DUKW, photographs, posters, and vintage film.

Contrary to local belief, the unique idea of a Duck Tour did not originate in

Boston. Duck operations have been in existence in the Midwest for decades,

and in fact, continue to be successful tourist attractions.

Opening in Boston required approximately 30 permits from various regulatory agencies. The permits were difficult to obtain due to the infamous bureaucratic red tape, but also because most people had never heard of Ducks and simply thought the idea of a land/water tour in Boston was crazy. At one point, Andy Wilson, Founder, was told that it would be easier to build a skyscraper in the center of the Boston Public Garden!

What began as a four-Duck, 15-employee business on October 4, 1994, has grown to a 23-Duck, 100-employee powerhouse in the Boston tourism market. Since inception, Boston Duck Tours was voted by Boston Magazine as "Best of Boston" in the city tour category, the company also was honored by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce at their Small Business of the Year Luncheon, Andy was named Small Businessperson of the Year for Massachusetts, and Andy also received a Spirit of Enterprise Award from the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The growth of Boston Duck Tours has been extremely important. However, they firmly believe that growth at the expense of quality is unacceptable. They continuously strive to improve upon the quality of the Ducks, the tour and their employees and not grow to the point where it will become intrusive on the local community.

Duck tours offer group rates and individual rates priced per person. Along

with your ticket you or your group can purchase photos on the duck itself as

well as a wide variety of souvenirs and they even have special offers to

other attractions in the area with combo tickets.

Don't let your group miss this educational, fun experience while visiting Boston! From cough drops to crackers, there are almost too many choices, and it's true of cruises as well. You might feel like going on a cruise would be a perfect getaway for you and your spouse but finding the right one can be more difficult than its worth. Luckily, if you cut down your options by deciding where you want to take your cruise, when you want to take it, and on what cruise line, you probably won't have too many options to choose from and you can pick the best cruise for you.

Where to Take Your Cruise - Part of the reason that there can be too many choices is that there are a lot of options about where you can go on your cruise. Each cruise line sends cruises all over the world. Think of this as a good thing, not something that is going to slow down your decision-making process. All you need to do is sit down and take an hour or two and just decide where you want to go.

The best way to make a decision is to think about what you already love to do and then tailor your cruise destination to match those desires or hobbies. If being on the beach on a beautiful sunny day is your idea of heaven, make sure you take a cruise in the Caribbean. If you like being outdoors, you might enjoy one of the northwest coast cruises that sail all the way up to Alaska. If you're a history buff, take a European cruise. The destinations are what differentiate cruises; each ship is really very similar while you're sailing.

When to Take Your Cruise - Deciding when to take your cruise can be almost as harrowing as where to take it. Most cruise lines offer cruises year around. Some times of the year are very popular but you can get great discounts at other times during the year. For instance, winter vacation may sound like a great time to take a cruise. You can get down to the Caribbean sun and take a break from school or work during the holidays. On the other hand, you might be able to save as much as 40% on cruises if you go in the October or November timeframe. This is an unpopular time to take a cruise and often costs less.

What Cruise Line to Take - It can sometimes seem like there are almost as many cruise lines as cruises. Different cruise lines usually attract different types of people. Some attract families, some attract couples, and some attract singles. Make sure you know what types of people usually use any given cruise line. There are a number of websites that offer reviews of different vacation possibilities, and you should be able to find this information on those. Once you've narrowed down the possibilities in these three categories, you should be left with just a few cruises that you will undoubtedly enjoy.

Kimberly Carlson is an avid traveller and preffers to do all her own research and bookings on line. You could easily spend days on end just sightseeing courtesy of a gondola. This is the only city in the world built entirely on water. As you look around, you'll quickly notice an abundance of gondolas, but no cars! Filled with nightlife, Venice is famous for its masquerade parties. Take time to attend local festivals including the Venice Film Festival and the ever-popular Carnival Masquerade Ball. While you're there, be sure to visit St. Mark's Square, the hub of the city.

St. Mark's Square

Early in the morning, St. Mark's Square is completely empty with the exception of those who clean this majestic wonder. Even then, in the quiet of the dawn, it is an awe-inspiring place to visit. An open-air square set before ancient domed architecture topped with numerous spires, St. Mark's Square is positioned on the Grand Canal by a gondola pier ("molo"). Its majestic Campanile (watchtower) takes center stage with a height of 314 feet. With the quiet crashing of the waves and the beautiful scenery, you could simply sit and stare for hours.

However, once the crowds rush in, the square is filled with sightseers who wander about, eat and feed the famous pigeons. But don't be content to sit outside in the square. Take the time to explore some of the buildings.

Basilica di San Marco

Best viewed early in the day (before the lines become too exasperating), Basilica di San Marco, also known as St. Mark's Cathedral, is simply stunning. Those visiting via cruise ship are advised to book the earliest tour possible at your excursion desk. Cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, offer a variety of tours departing at different times.

The exterior alone is exceptional, but the interior is not to be missed. With over 39,000 feet of gold mosaics and artworks by Italian masters Titian and Bellini, this church is spectacular.

Gondola Tours

Of course, no trip to Venice is complete without a romantic gondola ride. Check with your tour guide or the excursion desk of your cruise ship for details. Royal Caribbean, among others, offers day and evening gondola rides. These narrow, hand-painted boats maneuver through the canals, giving you a private tour of Venice up close and personal. If you're lucky, you'll also have the pleasure of a serenade!

Carnival Masquerade Ball

After a day of sightseeing, you might choose a change of pace. Get dressed to the nines and participate in one of Venice's most celebrated events: Carnival! Held in mid-February each year, many cruise lines put on their own versions of Carnival. If you're visiting Venice in wintertime, get in on the real thing. Otherwise, flirt with your neighbor onboard ship for an equally good time!

Curious, fun, enchanting and awe-inspiring, Venice is a city most never forget once they've experienced its wonder. When making your plans to visit, splurge! Take in as many of the sights as time allows. You'll cherish these memories forever!

Roy Witman is Vice-President of Cruise Vacation Center at offering the best deals including

European cruises. © 2007, All Rights Reserved

Locating Vacation Spots Closer To Home

You can spend weeks looking for a great place to take your vacation but some of the best vacation spots may be closer then you think. Depending on what you want to do while on vacation, there is plenty to see and do close to home, no matter where you live. Most people live with a couple of hundred miles to some of the best vacation spots but because they are used to traveling long distance for their time away from home, they are often overlooked.

Those who are accustomed to flying or driving for several hours to head to their favorite places may be surprised to learn that some of the best vacation spots are in their back yard. For example, people living in Florida may forego a trip to Disneyland in order to travel to the northern edge of the country to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Midwest. People living in the Midwest may be more prone to think of Florida as one of the best vacation spots they can find.

Some claim they need to get away from home and enjoy the drive. For many, staying in a motel only an hour or so from home is not their idea of a vacation. However, by getting a room close to some of the best vacation spots can ease the financial burden on the trip and still allow them to feel as though they are away from home.

Excessive Travel Can Take Fun Out Of Vacation

For many, a trip of 12 or more hours is the prelude to their vacation and once they arrive they are generally too tired to enjoy the first day. For the return trip, they often leave a little early with both legs of the trip costing them a day or two of their time away on the road. Finding some of the best vacation spots closer to home can greatly reduce travel time and the stress that often accompanies trying to find the route through unfamiliar territory.

Simple driving through your own region of the country often reveals rewarding information, provided you look with your eyes open. Traveling with the attitude that there is nothing to do close to home often hides some of the best vacation spots you could hope for.

Perusing a map of your home state can also reveal some promising places that some may consider the best vacation spots in the area and following up these finds by gathering additional information can help locate some of the more famous places for vacationing.

Rich Wells runs his own online travel business. In addition to having to plan the wedding from the onset, if you also have to make sure everything is happening when it needs to happen on the wedding day - that a minister is in place on time, and that the entertainment will show up and play the songs you need them to play in the order you need them to play them - your special day may be more stressful than blissful.

There is a way to remove much of that stress. Consider letting someone else do the work and even getting an early start on your honeymoon at the same time by having your wedding aboard a cruise ship. While you may have only thought that a cruise ship can take care of the honeymoon plans after the wedding, they are also completely skilled in hosting the big event itself. Most cruise ships have their very own wedding planner and staff that can take your budget into account as well as what you want in your wedding experience and make it all happen, while you enjoy the changing scenery aboard the decks of the ship as you visit fabulous wedding destinations.

If your concern is how much it will cost, it's not as much as you would think. The cost for a wedding planner on land is usually a few thousand dollars. The same services aboard a ship can cost less than a thousand dollars. But, what about all the guests you want to invite, do they need to buy a cruise as well? No. Luckily, cruise lines understand that all the people you know do not want to go on a wedding and honeymoon voyage with you, so they will allow guests to come onboard for the wedding itself, and the reception, then go ashore when it's all wrapped up, as you take off on your wedding cruise.

Since cruise ships have a major staff at their daily disposal who are accustomed to being part of a high-quality entertainment venue, they can often effortlessly pull together a wedding you will never forget with all the details you had only dreamed off. Many cruise lines offer affordable wedding packages including Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, and Princess Cruises. If you select to go with Princess Cruises, they also have a number of extra special packages chock full of additional flowers, a stringed quartet and a variety of extravagant extras that will make you feel like you are royalty on your special day.

Greg Hansward is writing predominantly for , a web page covering information on Benidorm . Another popular choice for travelers is to explore the beauty of Bermuda traveling by water with a luxury world cruise. This island chain holds an infamous past of "attracting" the travelers of old, and now offers a whole new generation the chance to become lost in the wonder and beauty of paradise on a seemingly untouched island.

The Climate

The Bermuda island chain was once known as the Bermuda triangle, a place where the most experienced sailors could easily become lost and confused. With about 140 islands making up this island chain, Bermuda has a number of luxury resorts that are sometimes the only structure on the island. Bermuda's location is perfect for travelers seeking to experience the majesty of the Caribbean. The water surrounding the Bermuda island chain is warmed by the Gulf Stream. Although the climate is best characterized as "tropic", the Bermuda island chain manages to avoid the relentless tropic heat that can be found on other islands within the Caribbean, thanks the constant yet gentle trade winds. In addition, most of the Bermuda islands are relatively small, allowing travelers and natives to avoid trap inland heat.

The Weather

The weather in the Bermuda island chain is a constant. There are relatively no extremes, which can sometimes occur on other Caribbean islands. The hottest part of the year is usually May through October. The temperatures during Bermuda's spring and summer are between 75°F and 85°F. During the winter months of late October through April, the average temperature is around 70°F. Although the summer months are characteristically drier, rainfall can be found throughout the year. Most luxury resorts and hotels in Bermuda offer a number of activities to occupy travelers for the short hour of momentary clouds. Since rainstorms create the island's only supply of fresh water, residents and travelers welcome the storms. But the rain in Bermuda is short, sweet, and refreshing, as well as few and far between. One of the best parts of beautiful Bermuda weather is that hurricanes are not nearly as prevalent, nor as common here as they are in other islands in the Caribbean. And although they do occasionally come near Bermuda, a direct hurricane only hits once every seven years or so, with minimum damage.

Those who wish to get away from it all can experience the amazing climate and weather of the Bermuda island chain. Bermuda has prime positioning in the Caribbean, giving it access to the warm Gulf waters and tropical climate. But because of the small sizes of the islands, no matter how far inland you go - the sun is rarely oppressive. And not many luxury vacation destinations can practically guarantee weather between 70°F and 85°F year round. Bermuda is truly an incredible place for the leisure traveler to experience.

Virginia Morgan writes tourism and travel articles for AMT AMT American Express Travel, a premier Internet destination for American Express Travel Deals.

"The Secret Report?"

I will show you how to use this Amazing System like i have with plenty of

other people this year ...

This is the Best of the Best to use for marketing with because you can link

this Secret Report up to any website you like.

You will see what i mean after you get the Report ...

There's People using this Amazing System today and making Million's ...

I want to Show You how i do Why??

Because the more You Make The More I make ...

Do not buy anymore junk on the internet and check this Baby out >>>>>

And get a Taste For The Marketing like i did few years Back.

Some of the top marketer's today don't even no about this Secret Report ...

Good Luck ...

Vincent Furey.

Vincent Furey is the techinical writer for

Cruise Port of Call: Nassau, Bahamas

Cruise Port of Call: Nassau, Bahamas

History

The Bahamas were discovered by Christopher Columbus during his first voyage. He called the area "baja mar", which means low or shallow sea, and the name stayed to this day. The British arrived in the 1600s after the Spaniards had left in search of gold, and many British fleeing the American Revolution settled there, along with southerners during the American Civil War. The Bahamas became an independent member of the British Commonwealth in 1973.

Nassau, the capital city, is located on New Providence Island. There are many historic sights including the Government House, the Queen's Staircase and the statue of Queen Victoria in Parliament Square.

Things to Do

Nassau is a fun port to visit, and you can do everything from swimming with the dolphins to shopping at the Straw Market.
